Hj. Mahmood Bin Bachik started his Warong Roti Canai and Nasi Lemak in the late of 70's. He started with just a simple stall with only a few number of tables for his customers. The stall was originally located nearby Jalan Gombak. The worker in his stall was only he and his wife Hjh. Maimun. A few years later when their elder children grew up, they help their father Hj. Mahmood in the operetion of the stall. He has 12 children. Some of them are helping him in the stall while the others are working on their own. Day by day, the stall has been recognized by local people nearby and they start talking about the specialty of Hj. Mahmood's Roti Canai and Nasi Lemak and the uniqueness of the local Malaysian breakfast dish.

After a few years of hawking on the Jalan Gombak, he finally got some of money to enlarge is stall and build it bigger. He transform his stall from old wood based structure to a modern stall which is more stable and convienience for his costumers. Then, there was a post office were build next to his stall. Almost everytime from breakfast to lunch all the people that working in the post office ate in his stall. Even the people that go to the post office will visit his stall after paying their bills or posting their goods and letters. After that, his stall were called Kedai Makan Post Office as a trademark because it was synonym with their current location.

A few years passing by, the original location of the stall have to be moved away to other place because of new building construction on the current land. It was moved by the DBKL. The stall that had been moved are still sustain until now. Eventhough the location of the stall had changed, the original menu were still kept the same.

After the death of Hj. Mahmood around 2008, his wife Hjh. Maimun had taken place to operates the business with the assistance of her daughter. In 2009, Hjh. Maimun his wife passed away and his daughter continue their legacy.
